Santander lies 134.14 kilometers south of Cebu City, next to Oslob town. It is the town at Cebu island’s southernmost tip, with the Tanon Strait in its east and the Cebu Strait on the west. Next to Santander is the municipality of Samboan.
Access to Santander is easy, as one could take a van-for-hire or a bus at the terminals in Cebu City. It is only three hours away from Cebu City and the roads to Santander are good, with a scenic view of the coasts.
Santander is also only a few minutes away from Dumaguete City in Negros. A port in Tampi, Amlan Negros Oriental serves barges, ferryboats and fastcrafts connecting to Talisay in Santander. Two ports in Liloan, Santander also serves pumpboats and barges going to Sibulan, Negros Oriental.
